Zacarias S. Pruneda, 77, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Esmeralda Pruneda.

Mr. Pruneda is survived by his loving wife, Maria Gregoria Salinas de Pruneda; children, San Juana Cerrato, Jose Luis Pruneda, Noraida Lara, Zacarias Pruneda Jr., Jaime Pruneda, Yesenia Pruneda, and Victor Alfonso Pruneda; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernardina Martinez and Maria Vela; and brothers, Rogelio Pruneda and Paz Pruneda.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm rosary on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at De Leon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Monday, September 30, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr. Burial will follow Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
