Ursula C. Avendaño (Chita), 96, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, February 17, 2023 at her residence in Pharr. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eliseo Avendaño, Jr. and son, Eliseo Avendaño, III.
Ms. Avendaño is survived by her children, Esperanza (Cruz) Sotelo, Estela (Ramon†) Llamas, and Elias (Gio) Avendaño; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Victor (Ofelia) Castillo.
Visitation will be held from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm rosary on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at De Leon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 12pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
