Santiago Gomez, Jr., 55, passed away and went to be with his heavenly father on October 9, 2022 at his residence in the loving presence of his family. He was born February 22, 1967 and raised in Texas by Maria Gomez and Teodoro Quiroz. Santiago was a dedicated working man who drove for Veteran’s Truck Line, Inc. in Wisconsin for over twenty years. He loved being part of his breakfast group that called themselves “Brothers of the Road.” He was a Cowboys Fan. Santiago was a son, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend that God blessed our lives with. He always put people before himself and took care of anyone who needed help. He will be remembered for his “tell it like it is” attitude, humor, and advice.
Santiago is survived by his mother, Maria Gomez; his children, Edwin Jaramillo, Jr. and Anthony James Martinez (Jerica Esther Sue Martinez); grandchildren, Quintyn, Bella, Julius, Khloe, Noah, Mila, and Santiago; and his siblings, Jesus Quiroz, Pedro Quiroz, Maribel Quiroz, Teodoro Quiroz, Alma Rosa Quiroz, Maria Oralia Quiroz, Mirta Nelly Quiroz, Santos Guadalupe Quiroz, Silbestre Quiroz, Juan Aniel Quiroz, and Fransisco Ruiz .
Visitation will be from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm prayer service on Monday, October 17, 2022 at De Leon Funeral Home. A graveside service will held at 11am on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at San Juan Cemetery in San Juan.
