Maria R. Martinez, 94, passed away on March 19, 2025 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her husband, Julian Martinez and son, Francisco Javier Martinez.

Ms. Martinez is survived by her children, Juan Martinez, Ruben Martinez, Julian Martinez Jr., Mary Garza, Lupe Templeton Villarreal, and Elena Martinez; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Bertha McCormick.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm rosary at De Leon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 12pm at St. Anne Catholic Church in Pharr. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
