Maria Elena Gonzalez, 50, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Our beloved Maria was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who lived a life full of love, kindness, and grace.

Born on August 28, 1974, in General Terán, Nuevo León, México, Maria was the cherished daughter of Cristobal Gonzalez and Maria de la Luz Quintero. Maria was known for her unwavering strength, nurturing spirit, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved. She had an infectious smile, a heart full of compassion and a genuine love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Luz, Jason, Antonio and Jose; grandson, Alexander; siblings Maria Guadalupe, Juany, Fidencio and Olga; and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 3pm to 8pm at De Leon Funeral Home. Cremation services will follow.
