Gilberto Benavides, 97, fue a estar con el Señor el jueves 16 de enero de 2025 en su residencia en Donna. He is preceded in death by his children, Jaime Lucio Benavides and Jose Rodrigo Benavides.
Mr. Benavides is survived by his wife, Teofila Benavides; children, Flor Estela (Tony) Dominguez, Rosalinda (Atanacio) Velasquez, Gilberto (Norma) Benavides Jr., Aiden Armando (Elva) Benavides, Doraelia (Lalo) Nuñez, Nora (Benito) Resendez, and Connie (Ruben) Vazquez; 29 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm prayer service on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at De Leon Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10am on Monday, January 20, 2025, at De Leon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
